    ... booked tonight. We drive until Lily expires. She now lets us know when she has had enough. She is great during the day but once it gets dark, and it gets into her playtime, she is not happy in her seat. We make it to Maidenhead and pull into a Premiers Inn. The beds are so comfortable. Andie, Lily and I take the double room while Clint and the others take the family room across the hall.
    The kids are looking forward to the 'all you can eat' buffet breakfast. ...

    ... what was overheard on the bus, we're always entertained on the bus. A beautifully dressed 40ish mum, long silken blonde hair, black dress with bold white spots, pearls, with a dear little girl, about 6, stunning long curly bright red hair.     ... first milestone captured by the allies when they crash landed their gliders next to the bridge and cut the explosive lines before the Germans could react.

    We drove up to Sword beach and overlooked the picturesque view. The scene some 70 years beforehand looked a little different.

    Soooo, I cannot believe the time has come, and I will be setting off this weekend on my casual jaunt across the seas to the Far East. Oh yes... FAR sounds about right. Having graduated two years ago and worked my little trotters off since to fund this voyage (big shout out to Mum for letting me stay at home and for all the Sunday Roasts), I am now leaving for Southeast Asia, Australasia and a little bit of the US of A.
