    ... of the 12 floor tower block - hard to think of a greater contrast to our remote jungle lodge. We braved the crazy traffic and found a restaurant, the Nha Hang Ngon ( a strange name I thought - I would have called it something more catchy like Hoi Noi Sun - but each to his own ) recommended by our guide that specialised in authentic "safe" street food. My main dish, prawns in a tamarind sauce, was an adventure. ...

    ... for a shower, a cockroach infestation and a location outside the backpackers area.

    I have to admit it: I laughed at them. Then they pointed out I was paying THREE TIMES as much for my accommodation and suddenly I realised how stupid I'd been; 6 dollars for a room - what was I thinking?!

    We walked to the main street in the backpacker area and I instantly saw reminders of Saigon's northern counterpart, Hanoi. There were street food and bia hoi stands aplenty spilling ...

    ... resistance? The plastic cup one of the workers drank out of while building a temple to Ho.
    I was determined today to see Diems hideout but ended up at Ho's Museum. Gia Long Palace will wait till another day.
