We had breakfast at 8.00am today. The breakfast was a very busy affair with a number of tour groups attending It was a grab and barge affair with our group seeking solace in each others company.

Alta to Tromso

On the bus again for a 400 km trip south to Tromso. Our first stop was at the Rock Carving Museum in Alto. This is a UNESCO world heritage site. The carvings were chiselled into the Rock surfaces near the seashore before the ice ages, with the oldest carvings having been chiselled around 6,000years ago. ... and the land is very barren. Still saw quite a few reindeer grazing on the moss. As we arrived in Alta the rain returned and the temperature has dropped to 10 degrees. The weather changes so rapidly in northern Scandinavia, one minute it can be sunny and the next the wind comes up and rain sets in.
