    5/17 Monday

After a couple of flights - one being on the new 787 Dreamliner, and a 45 minute drive- we arrived at the Beach Harbor resort.

Got a nap in before we all met up to plan the next day, had a bite to eat and off to bed.

I did see MadMen season finale.

We do have wifi, but it's not great. Also, for some reason, my room smells like french onion ...

At each state park there is at least one informational display about a shipwreck off the coast, complete with details of the ship, how it met its end and photos of what wreckage still survives (complete with scuba divers).

It's ironic that such a lovely place has such a calamitous lineage. I don't remember where I ran across mention of Door County when I ...

... stock up on groceries, since I've rented a cabin here in Baileys Harbor, and experienced my second beer room. Yes...beer room (or cave, as the Pic 'n Save called it). The first was yesterday, when I stopped at the gas station to pick up some beer. The cooler was small and didn't have much selection, and then I noticed the double doors leading to the Beer Room. Yes, an entire walk-in cooler devoted to beer. I think I will like it here.
