We said goodbye to Joy yesterday evening which was a bit emotional. I can not wait to go myself right now. 11 Weeks and 3 days before I land in Rio. Not that I am counting!
I am yet again one step closer though: After booking the tickets, moving bedrooms, forever not trying to spend any money and Joy leaving already, I decided to tell work about my traveling plans. It was such a relief! Slowly but surely my time will come! Muahahaaa!
i was at my bowling ally with my family and this really hot walked past
he goes to my bowling club and i am always flirtting with him and we
always have a laugh. but i dont know how to tell him i like him and i dont
know how he will react. but i am not bothered that much even though i
am like in love with him. oh well
Today we went for a drive to Dartmoor, a seaside village at the mouth of the River Dart.
For lunch I had a pasty (I love Cornish Pasties!) and an English Toffee icecream with clotted cream - yum!
In the evening we drove back to Liskeard through Dartmouth National Park, which had some great views (hard to photograph though unfortunately) and we even nearly hit a wild horse which ran out in front of the car!
... could not find our way to the village church so we stopped to ask directions from an elderly woman who was laying out a bric-a-brac stall outside her cottage. As Colin chatted to her, I realised that some of the photos she had taped to the front of the trestle table where strangely familiar.
"Are you collecting for Cambodia by any chance?", I asked. "Yes", was the not altogether unexpected reply "My son runs a charity in Siem Reap ...
... is not really a speed demon, but the slower pace suits us fine as we are in no hurry... it also conserves fuel which is important considering the distance we will be covering over the next few months. So we don't really go faster than 50 mile/hr (80km/h for the aussies at home) and we avoid the motorways as there generally is ...

Well a bit behind with the blog due to no connection so here is a quick update.
We booked into Middlewick farm for a few days before going to Dad's and Mo's for a few days whilst "No Fixed Abode" was away being fitted with a tow bar.
The farm site was very quiet and relaxing, full of sweet smells of dung and pig poop!!!!
Truck dog Poppy thought it was great fun chasing the chickens!!
Hope you like the vid and pics.
My teenage boys were beaten up outside out family caravan by 5 boys, who followed my boys back to our caravan after a night out in the onsite club. These boys were not staying on the site but were allowed access into the club without a pass. They hung about the club looking for trouble.
My boys were jumped on causing them injuries. Luckly my niece, who was with them, managed to get away in one peice ...
I started writing on the plane:
"Just been reminded of Tom's pronounciation of 'Phuket' (read '****it'). Quite funny and it makes me giggle.
The actual start of the journey was a little bit of a nervous one. We sort of managed to get the departure time of our coach wrong and we left the house a little bit late. Shirls digged out her organisation skills and so we found out that the ...
