... emails, boxing and of course blog. We tried to ring mum to wish her happy birthday but got voicemail. We left one but she probably won't hear it as we then rang the landline and had a very strange dalek-esque conversation with dad! Nice to hear his voice though and we managed a little exchange and as we said goodbye someone was at their front door so we got to hear the rabbits barking too! The rest of the morning was laundry, ...

... lysées to the Arc de Triomphe, ascending the ~300 stairs to the top of the arc to see the cityscape light up at dusk, and we were spent. Dinner at 10:30 with a view of the arc, and we made our way back to the hotel and collapsed in bed. Vowing not to repeat that, we let ourselves sleep until almost 10 Saturday morning and promised to make a leisurely day out of it, and to soak in Paris at our own pace. ... who were on their last leg, another lady just starting and another American couple. I had a chicken pot pie and it was the best thing I've ever had! After that we went our own way. I went to a other church who claims to have a vial of christs blood. History doesn't say how exactly they acquired it but it has been in this churches possession since the 1200s. You file through and pass a priest (who was female...) and in front of ...

... 5 weeks.

We returned the bikes which featured Sam biking through the Market. Horses, cars, buses and people, oh my! We tried fries with mayo, made it to Dumon chocolate and my family forced me into a phone. Fondue was fun for dinner. Michael Phelps even in Dutch, wow!

Last day in Brugges today. We will miss it a lot. The Wilhelms were right. Amsterdam tomorrow.

Go O’s….
