... I was turned down - so we see in the movies all the images of Oxford students pouring over books in amazing reading rooms! Unfortunately the oldest, most impressive areas we were not allowed to photograph but they can be seen as the library in the Harry Potter movies! First things first: I'd like to wish a very happy 18th anniversary to our parents! Taylor and I are so lucky that our parents are, well, themselves! After check-in we walked back into the center of town to find dinner. We tried to go to The Eagle and Child which is a local pub where CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien used to hang out, but they don't allow anyone under 18 in after 7PM. It was ...

The Full Moon

... with a student. This particular student, along with two others, were asked to leave the program for drinking. It was a very long, scary night, and I ended up getting to bed around 3AM, and up again at 6:45AM for my morning shift. That was rough - Starbucks was essential. Our morning shift was occupied by making plans and getting the three students home, which did work out. Very sad day. They were very nice students, and so close to the end of the ...
