Wednesday 18th February Dubai to Manchester
We landed at Dubai on schedule which should have given us 2 hour to transfer to the Manchester flight. However the plane was directed to park at a remote part of Dubai airport. They weren't expecting us to be there so it took ages for them to bring steps. When eventually they did arrive 15 mins had passed. Getting near to the new year celebrations, Steve explained that all the roads going to the fireworks would be gridlocked so people ...

I have spent Sunday's doing many things, but I can now say I've also spent a Sunday sailing around the coast of Dubai, even jumping off the top of the boat into the amazingly warm water below.

As we left the Marina we saw some impressive boats, and event what I think was a private cruise liner!! The money and scale over here in just incredible.

Onto our boat, with our very ...

... chairs and clean toilets to go to ( this was particularly important to Richard with his tummy trouble). We enjoyed our time there. The flight was full so no chance of a spare seat anywhere. We watched movies all the way throughout the 31/2 flight and it ran an hour late. We arrived in Dubai, mow raked out how to find the taxis after getting our bags. Susan had to admit defeat in the bag challenge as Richard was 3 bags ahead and we think there is only one chance left we think. ...
