Today we had a bit of a lay day as we were both feeling the effects of the heat and also 8 weeks of travel, a little jet lag and so we decided some rest was needed for us both. We got up and had breakfast and Kelly wasn't feeling so flash. First sign of not feeling great is when she didn't have much for breakfast. A few magic pills and a five hour sleep did the trick. We're currently reclining on a couple of loungers in Dubai airport, watching the world go by. Literally. There are people from everywhere going to everywhere. We're not in Kansas anymore Toto.

... a massive complex with an understated but impressive exterior, and a beautifully ornate interior. It can accommodate 20,000 worshippers and has a magnificent hand loomed Iranian carpet measuring 70x60 metres. Oman is a complete contrast to Dubai with not a skyscraper in sight - most buildings are low rise and reflect the Arabic tradition with a dome or arabesque windows, and usually white or sand coloured. Even the new ...

Ps. If we don't get arrested! Danielle keeps taking me into very expensive hotels like the Jumeriah hotel "to use the toilet".... and we are still there an hour later.... accidentally falling into swimming pools is becoming a habit!
