This morning I woke up at 5:30am but I was tired from the busy day yesterday so I slept till 7am and when I did get up only Julia was awake in bed. I tried to get ready quietly and then I went and sat in the bar and wrote my diary. It was so nice to sit in the cool morning with the beach right there. Then we have the dance. After a warm up, we learn 3 different dances and again I am surprised on how we all do well. I am not a dancer, but I am able to follow most of the moves, to the rhythm of the drum.

... its issues, most of them regarding the screaming inequalities between the rich and powerful vs. the poor, but to call the people here "welcoming" is a massive understatement. I'll kind of miss being woken up by the squadrons of insane roosters that run around the city screaming like banshees. I hope this blog conveyed some of what I felt while being here, and gave you somewhat of a picture of life and work in Accra, Ghana.

... But, possibly the best part was the lunch provided to each attendee, which we picked from a menu. I had a mouth-watering yam with palaver sauce, similar to pepper but much less spicy, great stuff!

It's Friday night now, so that means tomorrow I get my first breather since landing! Maybe I'll head down and see the Accra coastline and beaches for the first time...
