... offhand and then another worker came to me to retrieve the pen. I then approached the line and before even being allowed to wait in the long lonely line I was asked for my yellow fever vaccination card. Either to my luck, or because it isn't as big of deal as it was made out to be, the woman got distracted and didn't check the date to realize I had only had the yellow fever vaccination for 7 days even though you are supposed to ...

We found in my guide book a cocoa farm that was about a 10 minute drive from the gardens in Mampong, where there were quite a few signs pointing us towards the farm, Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farm. The University of Ghana was very large and seemed very different than the Texas A&M that we are used to. We had to go through a security check to get on to campus.

The Yiri lodge was not what it appeared to be in pictures. For a lot of us culture shock set in when we ...

... organized and well worth our time.

The weather was nice, so we headed to the beach. La Tawala is a beach restaurant/bar between Osu and Labadi. We had some trouble finding it, but the second cab driver got us there (though not at the agreed upon fare). I’m glad that my friend Justin told me about the place. It was a wonderful place to sit and listen to the waves crash over the melody of music and the pops of cold beers ...
