    Day 3 Ocho Rios Jamaica

A travel blog entry by jennadoucette on Apr 22, 2014

Today was amazing. We woke up and went to the buffet for breakfast . After we met as a big group and left the boat for our first excursion which is Ochos Rios .(Dunns River Falls&Maragrita vile . At 10:00am our group left to go on the bus for Dunn river falls. When we got there it was insane how high it was, and the fact that we had to climb it was scary but really exciting ! We split into groups and went with ...

... over. After a lengthy chat and a bit of a barter we ended up walking away with two mahogany totem figures, carved with our names, of course, and Sven even swapped his Sunderland shirt with a Jamaican one! In the end we began counting the days until we could leave. There was nothing for us to do, and we simply wandering the streets enduring the constant hassle was unrewarding; it was simply impossible to form any sort of connection. It was clear we weren’t enjoying our time in Ochos Rios and were skeptical that the resort town of Montego Bay would be any better.

... all pretty excited. I've just had a grilled steak with jerk sauce. I've tried grilled marlin.. Very tasty. Ben has eaten shrimp and prawns. Emileigh is loving these baby octopus thingies ( yuck). For pudding, Emileigh and I have just had deep fried ice cream!! Stunning!! It's not even 8pm but we're all tired from the journey. They've all gone to bed while ...

... him, I just can’t keep up), I asked what he wanted to do and he wanted to play tennis. Gulp! It was only gone 10:00 and seriously hot. Not being one to go back on a deal, I made sure he was overly factored up, sun hat on, shades on and a bottle of water each.

We hit that ‘bad boy tennis court’ and stayed on for almost 1.5 hours. I think I lost 1/2 stone in the heat. He loved it though, every minute of it! We had plenty of ...
