On "THIS" porch....
... we were off for Skyline Dr. and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We drove the parkway all day and exited north of Roanoke, VA. We then drove until about 11:00pm to get here. God’s mercy was sufficient and we made the long day safely.

Water falls and lots of people
... as this was you had to wait for the people coming up before you could run down. Once again when we got there, completely filled with part time hikers who had no consideration for any one else wanting to view the water falls but after a few elbows we did get a few photos before running back up the stairs and away from the crowd.

We are up early and head to Mountain City. We take our shifts and drive knowing at the end we'll be back at the cabin. We're sad that the trip is over.
