... obviously a commercial port and the ferry port to Cyprus. We went for a walk to the sea (500m) (Annie was very happy to see Orange trees in the street , and Jackerander and Hibiscus in full flower, plus Bougainvillea but oddly only the small flowered pink one) and on our way back it clearly wasn’t difficult to locate the hotel, it must the tallest building in town by 30 floors.

... lunching at an excellent diner (good simple tucker, friendly staff, very proud of their pristine mountain water). More, even higher, mountains ahead ( snow remnants). We followed a cascade upstream. Tunnel after tunnel. Impressive engineering.
