Of course no English! Our last stop with our sack lunches was at a Russian Church - one of only two in Bulgaria. It was stunning! Then it was back on the bus for a four hour drive. ... walk after being in the car.

Then on to Nesebar via some 'interesting' seaside resorts. There really were some shockers - we were a bit nervous about where we were going to end up! I could just imagine workers in the Communist era being despatched there for their holidays. Thankfully, Nesebar is very different. Still commercialised, but with enough historical features and interesting buildings on narrow cobbled streets to be pretty.
