... and I followed meeting them again at 6pm that night and sharing dinner (and Max's hotel room!) and breakfast. From there I made the 4 hr drive back to London and Max did also - but he went via Stratford-upon-Avon to see Shakespere's birthplace. I was so thrilled to hand the keys of the (undamaged) car back this morning! It was fairly stressful driving and navigating by myself, but totally worth it! What an amazing 10 days - thanks to everyone who made it a dream come ...

What a fabulous morning we had. The breakfast at Lingwood Lodge was wonderful, a made to order cooked breakfast and a large pot of tea! After breakie we checked out and went for our bush walk up Orrest Head. We had to drive the short distance to Windermere itself and park near the start of the walk. It took about 20 minutes up a well marked track to get to the top of the Head. We had a beautiful 360 view up the top. We could ...

... houses on the sides of hills. We spent the late afternoon relaxing in our room, enjoying the sunshine. We headed out to The Albert for dinner and once again enjoyed a pub meal with lots of locals. A 'bush walk' of sorts is planned for the morning before the drive to Edinburgh, the last leg of our trip. I am feeling a little sad it is all coming to an end. Love and smiles, ...
