    ... our connection to Koln.

Around 8:26 we climbed off our train and beat it to Platform 3 as noted on our ticket. The train was scheduled to leave at 8:36 - schedule a bit tight but no biggie. BUT, as it turned out, the train for that platform was not headed to Koln. A quick question to a DB agent told that our platform was 8 and not 3. After a splendid day of cycling through natural beauty and countryside along the Rhine and then thrown back to 13th century with gothic architecture and astonishing grandeur I was exhausted but well pleased with my day. I decided to use the public transport that Germany has to offer and took a tram one block from the cathedral to Barbarossaplats stop just 2 minutes from my hotel. In total it took me fourteen minutes, and cost just two Eurp, to get ...

... Rotkappchenhaus, aka Little Red Riding Hoods House. Unfortunately we weren't as lucky there. We used the address google gave us and no luck. We asked at a nearby shop for directions, but the lady looked kind of confused and started pointing towards Alsfeld. Unfortunately we couldn't find it there so we decided to move on. Next stop: Neander Valley. In France we heard that the Neanderthal was discovered there so we ...
