      ... originally dividing East and West Germany is still standing. It is quite confronting when you see it in reality. Even the windows of the people in the East had to be bricked up if they faced the west! And then, we were driven to meet with extended family in Schwulper.       ... Werner emerged to fondle, play and become totally engaged with his granddaughter until the Inlaws returned home having picked up the Father of Christine – Heinz-Joachim, finally a namesake of my name that had the unique distinction of being hyphenated?!

      It's Autumn in North Germany. The cooler weather and fog is evidence that I may use one of the inherited jackets from Aunty Mia, to venture out with my hosts and experience the family program that awaits me.

      ... ever steals them?! The playgrounds are just divine- especially in Autumn. All the equipment is wooden and blends in perfectly into the surrounds oak trees. Not like in Australia where everything is bright colours and plastic.

      The boys loved the soccer- especially because Hannover won. We enjoyed a lovely dinner of spaghetti bolognese, had a bit of a chat and then went back to our hotel.
