The Cathedral took 632 years to complete. During the war, 90% of the central city was destroyed. Eau de cologne was originated here in 1709 by the Farina family. They have excavated the Jewish settlement a little more than on my last trip and plan to open an underground museum within 2 years. We visited 7 Christmas markets as the weather was nice. ... EVERYWHERE in Europe has many italian restaurants owned by Italians. Thin crust personal pizza 4 stagioni my fav! Doesn't beat the pizza in italy but was delish. Bars were dark and played strange music but local beer was very nice. I had to try the typical german shnapps which was actually nice as well.

    Next stop: Paris, France

Today we cross the Rhine river for a 360 degree city view on the 28th floor of the 203 metre tall Koln Triangle building.. A major ...

... very well or clearly, but Dusseldorf... my GOD! They have people talking in both English and German to give directions, but they aren't explaining things well, and they aren't making announcements loudly or something, they have people telling individual things instead of saying "people with these tickets come here, people who don't, you don't have to go through this line. Other people go over there to get more help." No, instead it was ...
