    ... across the B.C. - Yukon border as it proceeds west toward Whitehorse. The mountains flattened out a bit but were numerous and snow topped by the time we arrived in Atlin B.C.

    Having spent 4 of the last 5 nights in a tent I was ready for a room and we got one at the Atlin Mountain Inn. A folk festival featuring Ian Tyson, among others, finished up here the night before so there were rooms to be had.

    ... morning there were another 3 or 4 RVs and 4 flatbed trucks that had arrived in the middle of the night. Forgot to mention we saw a coyote on our drive to Wainwright, crossing one of the big fields.

    Next day - June 27 - I awoke early and we got an early start on the road to Lloydminster. Sure did like this part of Alberta from say Hardisty up to Wainwright and now heading further east and north -- more rolling hills ...

    ... to another volunteers apartment where one of her friends from Kolkata graciously made us all a local meal (it was delicious)! and then hilariously enough we participated in a "Mary Kay" style cosmetics home party! It was a ton of fun and I made a lot of new friends from all around the world. Sunday, I again went to the Brother's home where all of the street children came to play, bathe and have a hot meal. These children were hilariously unruly...but ...

    ... shade again and have a bit of cake. We lounged around the the shady grass for a bit. It wasn't long enough between sets that we had time to go wander around the gardens, and it certainly wasn't a good idea to go out into the midday sun with our dresses.

    We watched a group of performers before us, and then filed back under the pavillion awning. The sun was even worse at that point and half the choir was stuck in the heat. Luckily, no one fainted. The set ...

    ... hard to sit. Tomorrow evening we will have plenty of time to sit; 9 hours 15 minutes to be exact. -------- Packed the suitcase a few times. I am hoping that by tomorrow I will have it narrowed down and sorted out.
