Booked flight today - Guatemala on Feb 22nd 2010. So to mark the occasion I thought I'd start my travel diary today as well.

Two months to go - and a lot of list-making, planning, shopping, getting vaccinated, freaking out, and bouncing with excitement to do!

... from the law firm to Maastricht, in the Netherlands, to post some packages home. We had a lunch in a lovely gallery with his wife, then I wandered through the streets to post my parcels. I left in the evening to catch the train to London. I caught the Eurostar from Brussels, which was an interesting experience. i was sitting next to an Australian man who works from the Netherlands but travels all over the world for a mining equipment company. We woke much too early this morning after having a late night touring more of the ship and dancing in the Queens Room. I loved the Queens room. They arranged it in such a way that there are multiple intimate "rooms" with cozy couches, chairs and tables separated by low wrought iron walls within the space. One could easily host a semi-private party within a space while still enjoying the rest of the room. Being able to view the room from above was really fun. I ...

Both Jacki and Cathy have had a great day, however we all know and acknowledge something is missing, and we all silently pledge we will never spend Christmas apart again. Once in Derby, we open the Christmas parcel posted to us from Jacki, and also enjoy opening all the cards and gifts that have been sent, with the best of all being some photos and a DVD recording of our gorgeous twin Granddaughters, Cara and Rainee. ... cocktail party around the pool followed by an amazing meal, end up getting wasted then its of to the cocktail bar, casino and then the Disco. Great night but suffered the next day. Really didn't think i would i would consider going on a cruise before this trip but there is so much going on i think it would be great for a few days cruising around somewhere exotic.
