... 4-5 storie buildings all connected, but barely any people. About 1/3 of the shops were closed (or more) and there were probably more buildings and cars than people. It was weird. So I found this cheapish hotel and I've just been relaxing. Tomorrow, I think that I'm going to the Nanxi River. If I have time, I'll also drop by the Rice Mirrors.

After we had enough looking and tasting these new types of food we walked down some crowded shopping streets, past some more food markets, through a really pretty park and then in front of ...

We woke up this morning dreading the next few days. International travel is difficult. We ate breakfast at the hotel, and I was very glad to know that soon I would have a normal American breakfast. We headed to the airport around 9:30, and we had to say our goodbyes to Shelley and let her go catch a bus to go to the train station to go back to Nan Jing. It is always good to see ...

Tomb Sweeping Day is a National Chinese holiday celebrated in April. It is dedicated for the people who have deceased. It is a tradition for Chinese families to climb mountains and visit the tombs of their loved ones. They take a broom and sweep their tombs. As well they bring food for the deceased and leave it on their tombs, the family has a picnic next to the tomb to show love to their deceased family ...

      BAD NEWS!

A travel blog entry by rnf2 on Dec 03, 2012

So far everything has been going swimmingly, the right stamps issued by the right departments, just one more to get, and Ted rang to say he wants to meet at Gregs apartment...

The last government department said NO to Teds application to sponsor a Z visa and residence permit application. No explanation, I meet or exceed their requirements, no reasons listed for the declined application... Just No.

So I am on a job hunt again!
