We were invited out with some of the staff on Tuesday night to Laowi Town to a quiz night which was good fun. We then met Silvie, the CP at Munchner Biergarten, the German bar on Wednesday and the Italian restaurant Thursday evenings.

Ningbo is a lovely city, built on 5 rivers, so was a trading post and from the hotel room you can watch the barges go up and down the river. There are loads of fantastic bars and restaurants and it is now quite trendy.

But hey, you go to a Chinese masquerade ball wearing a Chinese mask, you have to live with the Chinese consequences! And there's nothing another drink won’t ...

... The acoustics were much better than the concert in Yuhuan, but it was difficult to play because it was freezing cold. Our soloist was not able to play one of the pieces because his fingers were too cold. Nevertheless, our audience was great. They loved to clap along with our songs and they cheered especially loud when our American singers sang in Chinese along with our Chinese singers. It was a really good concert.
