We were invited out with some of the staff on Tuesday night to Laowi Town to a quiz night which was good fun. We then met Silvie, the CP at Munchner Biergarten, the German bar on Wednesday and the Italian restaurant Thursday evenings.

Ningbo is a lovely city, built on 5 rivers, so was a trading post and from the hotel room you can watch the barges go up and down the river. There are loads of fantastic bars and restaurants and it is now quite trendy.

Trying to get a scooter to do what you want in the rain, under the influence of ethanol laced with coke and Bacardi , takes skill and stupidity. ... including the 33m tall Guanyin statue). We could also see the ocean, but it was not a very clear day so you could not see very far.

After seeing Mount Putuo, we headed on to Zhoushan and the Luting Grand Hotel. Concert number three followed shortly. It was not as cold as in Ningbo, but the audience was also not as engaged.
