After a breakfast consisting of eggs and bacon, we headed back to a little bit more of civilization to Datça. On the way we took a right to head for the old houses of Datça. Here we found my birthday presents. A silver ring with a milk opal and the Hand of Fatima as an opal. Sometime early this morning there was a thunderstorm. It wasn't so bad, but there is a leak into the roof in our bedroom. On Karstens side of the bed. It reminds us of the Dalmatian coast. Hundreds upon hundreds of double and triple mast schooners. It looks wealthier and bigger and in some ways dirtier. Not much, but just a little edgier. We find a place to eat but the terrace doesn't open until 7:30, almost our bed time. We walk ...

... the boat, jumped off the rails into the water and explored villages and beaches that we pulled into. We went to a little island with ancient ruins 2000 years old. We swam at our first beach that had sand - usually they only have rocks. We weren't allowed to walk or put our towels on the sand because it was so precious! We got back to Bodrum after 6 days sailing! Next stop ...
