... as you could see the edge from our hotel room and it was pretty cute and dinky. I guess there would be more use for it in hight season and 40+ degree weather but certainly not something that was needed in mid October.

We left the apartment and went for a walk into Fira to take in the world famous views. It took us about 15 minutes to get into the main tourist area and we managed to find a nice spot on the edge of the cliff. We sat there for a while and took ...

Our two days in athens were spent visiting the acropolis, temple of Zeus and the two agoras - whilst stumbling across cool bars and more great Greek food. We found one ouzo/wine bar and distillery (Brettos) that had been making its own ouzo, tsiporou and brandy for over 100 years. Very nice.

After a brief tasting we grabbed our bags and made ...

... most helpful host in all our travels. Kamari was a great place to stay, a nice quiet village with plenty of shops and restaurants on the waterfront. Our studio was down the quiet end right on the beachfront. We had our own private sunchairs and umbrellas. Perfect.

Our first night we met up for dinner with friends from sail Croatia Matt and Paula. It was a really nice meal with great company on the beach front. The Greek food continues to impress ...
