... I only have a small hand bag to carry around in transit and it's a much better way than dragging a backpack or carry on bag as well. So it's goodbye ruins, souvlaki, gyros, beer, sun, beach and all things Greek and Turkish until another day. Plane 45 mins. late taking off, so hopefully we'll make up the time so we won't arrive late in Melbourne. Just ate ... Airline food is better than it was but still it is so tasteless ... Oh well. We sat next to Australians who we enjoyed chatting with. The sunset was good and the ...

... the supermarket next to Obelix pita shop and the food cost much more than in Village Supermarket in Oia. Eggs are 2.35 € instead of 1.44 € in Oia. That, I was quite surprised. Maybe some other supermarkets in Fira would be cheaper. We head back to the bus station and realised we missed the bus for 15mins and the next one is in an hour. Remember to check the return schedule when you arrive in Fira so that you won't have to wait an hour at the bus station like ...

... a highlight (although my clothes dont agree, all that cheese bread and pasta!). we then went out in the town when we got back. That was a comedy of errors, Dan smashed the end of his toe off when he stacked it on the boat and the crew had to render first aid. Then his toe reopened when we were wandering around town and the ppl in the restaurants wouldn't offer us any help unless we bought something! So j fashioned a bandage from my sarong ...
