The cemetery was started on what was once the outskirts of the city on the main road leaving up to the acropolis and was the burial place for distinguished people. ... at the bottom we boarded our wooden boat to go to the Volcano. Sunscreen on, water in hand and we were off. It was roughly 36-38 degrees today. The walk up the volcano was hardwork.
