Well the nerves are kicking in. Two full days to get everything in order. I have a pile of clothes ready but now comes the part of deciding what stays and what goes with. We said our good-bye’s on Friday morning, called Chicago cousins (Waller, Hanrahan, Ullrich) and gave them enough time to lock their doors if they wanted to… but instead we were welcomed to a slice of heaven on earth just outside of Chicago..
... brats as well as the fixins. Now that things are quieting down, we are getting ready to ride south to see my dad. We'll be posting from Albert Lea tomorrow which is only about a two hour ride from here. We plan to take back roads to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the area. We'll head out in time to have lunch with Dad. More from Albert Lea soon!

Today we rode 465 miles and I believe we are nearing the 1/2 way point in the trip at 3805 total miles. We also realized that we have ridden through our two biggest states, California (south to north) and Montana (west to east). We will be clicking them off much faster as we move east from here.
