... for a slice of spanakopita, and we managed to find a shoe repair shop. The owner recommended Bougris, the local taverna just across the cobblestone lane. A family affair, the restaurant was splendid and traditional.....meal balls and tomato sauce and stuffed eggplant and tomato. We have covered a great deal of Greece, since our last posting. There have been many aaaaaah, haha and AHH!! moments. We continue to love the mountain areas and related walks, but have also traversed some stunning coastal routes and beaches...some pebbly, but on the west coast of the Peloponnese, fine yellow sand and blue, blue sea.. Very clear water, although there is little apparent rock pool, shells, or fish life, which is curious. We have swum a lot, but ...

... As we walk out, I know I have made a new friend and shared something more than a recipe. We have shared the wonder of the scrambled egg. I feel like Tom Hanks in Cast Away when he says, "I...Have Made Fire!!!!" We slap each other on the back, and he points to Jack, he asks, "What is the boy's name?" I say it is Jonathan but he goes by Jack. He looks at me with a sparkle in his eye, and I note the third coincidence of the hour. "My name is Jack". Who'd of thunk it? Jack the Greek!

Today was our last day�� I was so upset, I wish we didn't have to come home to ****** england�� We got on the coach, and this little 7 year old called Lewis said "Bye bye Stoupa, back to ****** old England!"
