Today we left after a very poor breakfast – this hotel was the least impressive so far! Except for the great hot spa! We drove south to a town called Aphrodisia – what another great surprise this place was. It is the only site that has only been discovered by Turkish excavators. Once again it was amazing to wonder through many ruins mainly in honour of the god Aprodsia – Goddess of Love. ...
... Swimming in the water was amazing as the temperature was perfect. After our 1st swim, I claimed a nice corner of the boat to sit for the day, read my book, sip some tea and watch the coast line. We felt relieved leaving Istanbul for the coast as it was a chance to get out of the city for us country kids. The Aegean Coast is Turkey's south west, and is worth a trip to Turkey as the scenery is breath taking.

Next we headed to Fethiye. I was so excited about this town, all the pictures I'd seen made it look like a tropical oasis but it was more like the dirty streets of Thailand. We checked into our hostel at V-go and went straight out to the pool beds where we drank Efes and chatted while watching some weird you tube videos.
