      ... to Blue Lagoon, caves, and Butterfly Valley. It wasn't the right time of year for the butterflies, however, good hike up the valley to the water falls. The mountains in the area are ideal for paragliding - back at Blue Lagoon beach.

      ... I'm also getting crazy tan lines, wholly moley it's hot here!! When it's not a torrential thunder and lightening storm with magnificent forked lightening the days are scorching.       ... hours off and a complicated rota was drawn up. All the while Joe was on watch and after an hour or so when everyone was still trying to get their head around it, it was finally decided that it would be better if we had a set rota, 4 hours on and 8 hours off. I winked at Laura and said to Joe that we would reset the clock and his watch would start from then. He wasn’t about to have his leg pulled by a newbie like me and didn’t fall for it at all ...

      ... the end of our session one of the river rapid operators was standing on the bank gesturing for us to paddle over to him and get out of the water. Easily gestured than done. Trying to paddle in a fast river in the opposite way to the current is not so easy, so at times the guy had to run out in the water and pull some of us in. I was one of those.
