A slight change of plans (train track closures) meant Sam and I went straight from Barcelona to Nice in one long day on 3 trains. Leaving the hostel in Barcelona at 7.30am, catching the first train with no worries, got our tickets for the second train during the 40 minute stopover, then were supposed to have a 50 minute stop over between before the last train however the second train decided it would breakdown for 50 minutes at the second last station. During the day, we climbed up to the top of the tower at the eastern edge of the "beach", with a great view of Nice.
Also visited the local Notre Dame - I swear, there is a Notre Dame in EVERY town in France.
