    ... into St. Mark’s Square it was eeriely silent. Just the lights gleaming out at you, the pigeons were fast asleep, and the people had all gone home.

    Our ferryboat arrived and we headed back to dry land.

    Tips
    Venice will eventually disappear underwater, no matter how much prevention is put into place. So if you’d like to ride the gondolas and see the floating city, I’d do it sooner, rather then later. ...
