    ... sealing a few more holes and generally tarting the old girl up.
    I suppose you could say the trip was a failure as we didn't sail all the way round Menorca, but we didn't sail round because we were having too much fun in ciutadella and later in Mahon, so we both agree another great sailing challenge finished with many great memories and a few scary wind driven moments.
    So its time for Ian and I to sign off from 'John's little adventure'.
    So, hasta la proxima ...

    • winds were not good today to get to either ends of Monorca, tomorrow should be different so I'm setting off at 0300 heading towards Cuitadella, lets see what happens.

    Called into Porto Petro cos it was here and I wanted to have an early finish as, as usual stuff was just thrown onto the boat and needs sorting before it gets dark.
    Left Palma after a little help from Nat and Oli, (Oli thats not how to leave the dock) at about 1130 called into here about 1800 not sure how far it was but did about 7 knots for 3 hours and 9 to 12 since, a real ...

    ... you cannot swing into the wind to help cool down the inside. Managed to get half the chores done – very hot and tiring.

    Exhausted, we decided to have dinner out at a seafood resturant near the marina which was rather pleasant.

    ... we had passed the day before.
    There was a huge motor boat anchored right in the middle of the bay therefore finding a suitable spot to anchor in proved pretty tricky.
    Another boat which had arrived just before us turned out to be a Danish couple we had
    met last year on our travels. We last saw them in Lisbon. Had a quick chat which was nice.
