Car hire for 3 days over
... of a vineyard area.......so much more to this story but not enough room. Drove back inland today, small winding roads into tiny towns, no one else on the road thank goodness, went through forest areas, olive tree areas, more walled towns, forts, vineyards. Saw landslide affected area from floods of 5 days ago, roads closed. Ended up at orvieto, dropped car off heading towards amalfi coast tomorrow. Oh no iPad s full so can,t upload any photos. ...

A Picture Perfect Town
... it does get old trying to navigate the crowds in the center and having to avoid the main grocery stores when the city is usually so peaceful, but I can see how important it probably is for bringing tourists and their money to Perugia every year.

To get from where the bus was parked to the top of the hill that Perugia lies on, you have to take the "mini-metro". The only way to describe this is to say it resembles a pod or a ski lift, on rails, that climbs up the hillside. Sort of what you'd imagine transport to look like in a few hundred years! But finally we were up at the top and after a small climb up a hill, from which there was the most beautiful view, we were there! ...
