      ... then tried to hitchhike, failed, asked directions at a very sketchy building to then take an even sketchier train back home, it was a great adventure.

      So long story short: I’m having a great time. Many amazing people, plenty of delicious food and lots of fun-filled nights. The thought of "Wait, how did I end up here?" has changed from being a negative one to a possitive one: strange nights out, gettin caught in snowstorms and other things.

      Just a 3 hour trip to Florence today which was built in the 1500's. My nose is stuffed so I keep having to blow it and I'm coughing so it's dripping down my chest. We have an optional dinner tonight which I haven't booked into but may change my mind as last night was really fun having dinner with everyone in Rome. I didn't go last nights stayed in and slept early. Still feel like I could sleep all day ...

      ... shops. It had to happen, and we landed up at a ceramic shop where we bought a beautiful set of hand painted ceramic dishes (and blew the budget!). I'm not sure how we'll transport it, but if it survives the rest of our travels, it'll serve as a very good memory of Italy and a useful set of dishes for our first Italian meal back home. Men are from Mars and women are from Venus.
