... us with paper and pen in hand, all was ok, we were going to get food. (Backup did arrive in the form of Mamma, to the kitchen, and Pappa on service!) Lunch was nice, pizza or gnocchi pesto. Refreshed (and Abbie with better colour and far more lively) we headed back up the hill, and down that staircase, to the station. On hearing an announcement from a distance, and seeing a crowd on the platform we ran the last fifty metres and ...

... on TV and reading, the sickies began nibbling, a good sign. Colour was returning to every face. Sprite had been finished, run out of crackers and bread, and the place was getting noisier! A gelati by the water, a walk up more stairs to the monument and now sipping some local wines prior to jumping on the train shortly to make my trip back to my bag (hopefully it's there!) and onwards to Lucca where I will meet Tamara and navigate our way to the B&B. I think the body will enjoy a hot shower tonight :o) Enjoy the pictures...they just don't do this place justice, you really need to see it with your own ...

... fading and we might get lost.

Got back and ate at E Prie de Ma Ristorante over the road from the hotel. We had to sit inside as it was crowded on the street. Shared a pizza and had a couple of drinks each for 26.50 Euro ($38). We thought the owner didn't appreciate us sharing a pizza, but I've read a few reviews that mention him, so maybe that is his constant expression. E.g.- "The owner (or the large guy that appeared to be in charge) was a ...
