... bar and ordered Vino. I can actually order beer and wine in three different languages now, I'm a multi-linguist.

Once the rain had slowed enough we walked back to the hotel to put the feet up for a bit.

Wandered just down the road for dinner at a nearby Ristorante.

Off to Levanto and Cinque Terre tomorrow.

Au Revoir Nice, back on the train again today, stay was too short. Train travel has been very easy and enjoyable so far apart from that one leg where it was very hot and stuffy.

Catch the Train from Nice Ville to Genova Piazza Principe on the Trenitalia Thello, had four seats to ourselves for most of the way. Travelled through Monte Carlo, San Remo and all along the coast to Genoa.

The next morning we relaxed in the comfy bed for a wee bit and the got ourselves organized to go and buy a train ticket from Nice to Ventimiglia, the portion we hadn't already bought a ticket for. We had wanted to buy this the day before when we arrived, but the strikes were having their effect in Nice too and the ticketing staff were doing reduced hours. Well there was a train strike on Sunday when I was due to couchsurf at Uscio, 30km away. An English couple I spoke with at Genoa Principale stazione suggested I go to Genoa Bignole instead as more trains went to Recco from there. So I went one station along but to no avail. All up I spent four hours at the stazioni only to watch each train cancelled a short time before it was due to depart. I dragged my backpack up and down many stairs ..... ...
