... Sea, alfresco, and made a grab for the one remaining table. There were three other tables occupied when we arrived, and the waitress was overwhelmed with our arrival (and the subsequent arrival of 3 other smaller groups). She just rushed by us, obviously flustered, so we grabbed some drinks and sat at our table and waited, not sure she was planning to get to us. Rush hour at Coniglia? Porchetta is a meat that you make by deboning a pig torso and stuffing it full of the feet meat, along with seasonings and herbs. Then you roll the whole thing up and cook it nice and slow. Unfortunately, this was the tail end of it, and was just a tad dry. Regardless, we had a lovely little snack upon arriving in Piedmont later ...

... Just as well really as later that evening I realised I had a huge
hole in one of my socks. Despite me putting forward an argument that there was
still some life left in them, when I woke up the following morning they were
not where I’d taken them off. They had found their way to the bin. I wonder how
they got there??! Unfortunately, the bin is where they stayed. Never mind. I’m sure
I brought another pair with we somewhere!!!
