Smells like Cologne

Many of the vendors were actually making the crafts at the booth, including the candy cane makers, who were rolling giant balls of sugar dough into candy canes. In total we have walked/ visited "seven!" xmas markets in Cologne,, the city has put on a magnificent show.. from the city centre..Cologne is located on both sides of the Rhine River... to the riverside markets.. the visit to this city of one million plus has delighted us...

Regardless of my undignified entry to this city, Dusseldorf is a great place. In our limited time here, what we have seen of it, is impressive. We spent a very enjoyable Saturday afternoon in the old town, exploring yet another Christmas Market, and the views of the Rhine, amongst a whole throng of locals.
