... German beers, which now that I'm 21 can officially say are better than any other types of beer I have tried. After this we headed back to the house, since Christmas Eve was now only hours away!

In Germany, Christmas Eve is more important than Christmas Day, the bigger meal is served on the 24th, and the presents are given that evening instead of in the morning on the 25th. I learned about Advent wreaths, which are used during Christmas time. They are wreaths with ...

      Wasn't I just here?

I'm back in Frankfurt after a four-day detour home for my grandfather's funeral and first few days of shiva. I flew back out last night on the same flight I took last week, same plane, same meal, same movies, heck, I even sat in the same seat.

... cilantro to other herbs that are unknown even to the Germans. These are then ground into a paste with a liquid base to create a vibrate addition to a good schnitzel. From dinner we drove back to Offenbach (the home of Andreas and Biergoet, about 20 minutes outside of downtown Frankfurt) via the Autobahn, only hit about 220km/h (~170mph), love this German driving. Had a lovely sleep in a real bed and woke up to a hefty German breakfast of brotchen and more meats and cheeses then ...

... Instead of boarding directly to the plane, we got herded onto a bus and driven to our plane about a mile away on the tarmac. There were a lot of other planes parked on the tarmac from all over the world. I especially noted a Russian and Ukranian airliner parked next to each other.

We settled in for the 11-hour nonstop back to Houston arriving on schedule just before 7:00 PM.

Travel is great but getting back home is the best part.
