... food is really good—all the meat is cooked as well as you can cook it. I like Spezi, a German soft drink made with cola and orange soda, and this is the first time I ever enjoyed beer.
It was so wonderful to see Mary after many months and to hear about her study abroad experience. She navigated us around Freiburg like a native and handled all our German translating needs like a pro!

Funnily enough when Zoe came to pick me up in her flashy Ford, we entered the address in the navigation system as 230 5th. Little did we know that after 40 minutes of driving, we ended up at a random diner in Brooklyn, address: 230 5th, not 230 Fifth. I had a feeling we were going the wrong way, there were no buildings in sight, and the local scenery became rather... Well.. Not so Manhattan.
