Nh City Centre Hotel Amsterdam

Nice location (away from Dam area tourist traffic) very easy to get around all of Amsterdam - Tram a minute walk away. Standard room was smallish but adequate and also immaculate.

Go out the Hotel's canal exit side make a right and at the next street corner is a small cafe (used by locals) which serves a nice breakfast for a 6-7 Euros.

Great stay at the City Centre hotel! Clean with nice facilities and great location. It's definitely worth it to spend a little more for a "superior" size room. They are very spacious and most with a nice view. Some of the non superior rooms can be a little on the small size. Staff at the hotel were exceptionally nice. They let us preview several rooms beforehand and choose which rooms we wanted. On my second stay, they even let me change rooms after they put me on a lower floor where the windows did not open (I need fresh air).

Spent 4 nights at this hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. Room was a good size, nicely decorated and very clean. The staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly and the hotel bar area was very pleasant. The location of this hotel was superb. This was our second visit to this hotel and once again we had a great time.

If your other reviews are to go by..we must have stayed at a different hotel! The first floor rooms were so tiny, we had to sit on the bed to let each other past - no space for luggage and a lovely view of the rear fire escape. Having complained, got moved to a slightly bigger room - with one side of the bed against a wall. On a positive note it was clean. The staff explained the rooms were small as the hotel was built for the olympics..well we were not paying 1920's prices and expected better. The buffet breakfast was an extortionate price, with staff who obviously felt that service was not in their job description.

The postion of the hotel was great for getting around but we will not stay here again.

Just come back from Amsterdam having stayed there for the easter weekend. Stayed in the NH City Centre hotel. This hotel was excellent.

No problems with the food, location or staff. Only draw back was that the room was quite small but didnt spend much time in there anyway! Had a couple of meals in the hotel restuarant, which again was very nice along with the breakfast. All in all a very nice weekend and I would definately stay at this hotel again and the other NH Hotels too.

This hotel is a nice place: quiet, clean and especially close to tram lines & Leidesplein. Room was not the biggest I've been in, but big enough. Breakfast was OK.

The only problem I had was that air conditioning was functioning funnily, room was either very hot or very cool. My colleague had exactly the same issue.

This is a place I can recommend!

Was hoping for a good hotel but this place was great. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and well equipped rooms and an excellent buffet breakfast. Can't believe it's only 3 stars! Can't wait to stay there again.

Stayed at this hotel twice and it has been of great value both times.

Just around the corner of Spui, at the end of Spuistraat with the road on one side and the canal on the other. Quiet with little traffic noise, well spaced rooms, clean rooms and bathrooms, all in all good value for money. Breakfast so-so, but fair enough. Excellent location with busy shopping streets close on one side, canal district on the other side and trams just outside. I will be staying there again next time!

the nh city center was a great place to stay. the staff is very helpful and welcoming and the free breakfast is absolutely fabulous! i would reccommend this hotel to anyone going to amsterdam. the hotel is right on the single canal, and the rooms ar fairly big for a european hotel that isn't 5 star. the Nh city center has a great location and is within walking distance from most things and a street over from three of the tram lines. restaurants, coffeeshops, bars, newstands and pastry shops are all within a 5 minute walk.

A good value hotel. I have stayed here on a number of occasions - now a NH Hotel, good position as you are close to both Dam Square and The Leidesplein - book early - this hotel quickly gets booked up!
