... we were back in Sydney. Sure, I couldn’t understand the full announcement, but as it happens the words ‘defective train’ sound pretty much identical in Dutch and English. The train eventually turned up, about 15 minutes late, and we were soon on our way.

Once we were moving, the similarities with CityRail pretty much ended. The train was clean, quiet, and sure knew how to get a move on - ...

          It's unmatchingly beautiful!

We spent the evening watching Dutch tv, and I got most of it to the point where I forgot I didn't speak Dutch!

Then it was bed time! - also, before I go to sleep I need to give a shoutout.

To my dear Carrie, who released her book today! I am so bloody proud of you girl and I wish I could have been there today to tell you myself!

          TE in the Netherlands

          Something else we discussed:
          In a way the
misconception about what TE offers students comes from us making the mistake
for too long of staying away from science. Science was thought of as the big
enemy. The issue with staying away from science automatically puts you at the
          low end of the ...

... for controls in, I realise that I'm still wearing my pack! Amanda isn’t...she’s learned her lesson from the first run. Possibly because of the extra effort I'm putting in I completely stuff up the first control. One I realise my mistake and steer us towards the correct part of the trail everything falls into place. We get control one easily...then cross a drainage ditch with the smelliest water EVER to quickly pick up a second. A short run ...

... hitting those olfactory senses. This particular bookstore was three floors of amazing. The downstairs had a great language, travel, children's section and the cafe where I had my lunch! There were some sandwiches and panini's but the waffle caught my eye. And it was delicious and worth the calories. I paired my waffle with a latte, cozied up on a couch and began to write away. Around 3:00, I decided to head back to the apartment to plan my bike routes ...
