In the United States, many Jewish people have their own traditions on Christmas day, that do not include the typical traditions. For example, my family has previously ordered Chinese food on Christmas day and gone to the movie theaters. I always wondered though what it was like to celebrate Christmas with a family that celebrates the holiday, and this past Christmas I had that opportunity with my friend Simon's family in Germany!

After a much needed nap i woke to a nice big breakfast in the morning sun.
Around mid morning Trevor and i went to check out Media Markt which is like a mega sized JB hifi.
The pricing was not too good but it was fun to scout around anyway, the place was huge.
Upon return i was treated to home made pizza for lunch which was awesome, the sun was still beaming at this time.

1.) Patience. When things get stressful you may have a tendency to snap at your kids. On the other hand, I usually snap at my spouse. Doing either can really put a downer on the trip. You'll feel guilty and eventually have to give an awkward apology. Accept the fact that things aren't going to go smoothly.
