... spent too much time investigating. Aside from a few months of an Introductory German course that I failed and dropped, I certainly have no 1st hand experience with their culture.
Planning, plotting, and practicing is how I will accomplish this irresponsible feat of travel and confusion.

Short entry this time....

Only here for one night. Got to the hotel saw a couple of shops with beersteins, birkenstocks and clocks. Had dinner and watched some feral women proceed to get ****** and act like idiots in the hotel bar. Some good news though, won 30 euro on the slot machine in the hotel.

One of the guys (we assume it was a guy) even peed in the hotel hallway and our Tour Manager had to clean it up. People can be such animals.

It was sooooo cold in Frankfurt, we didn't want to spend much time here since we had no winter clothing. WE got in late, went to our hotel, then back to the airport to get our flight to Bangkok moved up. We though it would be at 8 that night, but they managed to get us on the next flight out, which was pretty much within the hour. Woohooo! I also kept speaking Italian in Germany... so confused with all the languages.

... go straight to sleep on the bus. she puts it down to having a kid and she can get woken up lots overnight so you get used to going quickly back to sleep but i mean seriously we're in a bus and its definatly not the most comfortable thing to sleep in.
Went to a beer stein factory this morning and it was heaps interesting to learn how they make them and the storys behind them..

Tom having showered and both mostly packed up our belongings (and eaten the rest), we decided it was high time - nearly midnight, in fact - that we resign ourselves for the day, especially considering our upcoming 4am start to Thursday the 7th of February. ... in a manger...although good enough for little baby Jesus. (ok, I'm laughing as I type that thinking of Talladega Nights..."but I like to pray to little baby Jesus!") A very nice lady was helping me, I mean really if she had been any nicer I would have thought she was faking it! She found a room for me and asked me my name for the reservation and when I told her she was thrilled...an American Engelbrecht and I speak German! Absolutely tickled ...

... five fruits condoned by god. The flight was onlz made noteworthy by the zealous nature of my german guests to board the plane. I am still bewildered when people just push in front of you in a queue, flaunting social customs... but what can I do? Once in Frankfurt I am reminded why ryanair is so cheap... in realitz we are a 2 hour bus ride from Frankfurt and it is getting late. Atlast I am at the real Frankfurt airport and finally resolve searching for a room at 9:00 is foolhardy ...

I've been in Frankfurt several times, mostly checking out the gift show in my capacity as a trade show geek in general, promoter of my frog line in particular. So I know the town a bit. But this time we merely pass through, in the middle of the night, right through the center ...
