... placed at the entrance to each bungalow. One helpful little girl explained that they are 'Seequasy' . There is only the one tree in the resort and it is poisonous . The effect at night when each lantern is lit is so beautiful. We joined together with Tony and Eve for a meal which made for a jolly evening exchanging past travel tales. We all had cocktails and a wide collection of food that we shared. Tony's roast lamb with baked beans has to join the recipe list ...

Having unpacked one case for the first time we headed for the beach to the 2 sun chairs the pool man had organised. The ocean was breaking over the rocky shore. We walked along had a drink by the pool by which time the tide had gone out exposing the rocks and leaving a different scene. Gradually others guests started to return to their chairs ...

... trundled the luggage through. She checked us in and then other porters moved the cases around into various lines , so hopefully it will get on the same plane as us! The departure lounge ( very basic) was full and locals and tourists reading, sleeping or talking. But no HARIBO The flight from East to west of Myanmar crossed the Ayeyarwady a beautiful sight as we didn't fly too high. It is interesting scenery but not beautiful and amazing to see ...
