We left the hotel at 8:30 and took a 1 hour and 30 minute car ride to the floating market called Dumnoen Saduak. This floating market was publicized to being less touristy than the others, but upon our arrival we realized there were hardly any locals and many tourists.

... out that was a water monitor which is the second largest species of reptile. It had a massive blue tongue and wasn't at all phased by all the people around it taking photos. A bit further on there were hundreds of monkeys sitting on the fence along the footpath all the way back to East Railay. Charlie disappears with his camera again of course! That evening we had pizza probably for the 3rd time at that hotel then went out for a drink at the 'chill out bar' where we didn't act so naive ...
... until we were meet again in the lobby at 6:30 to head out for our welcoming dinner. Ann, Archer, Brian, Andrew and I ventured out a few blocks into the Trekkers area called Thamel, in which our hotel is locate in the far southeast corner. I went over to say hi to this Monk (as you do) he asked where I was from so I told him Scotland and he picked up his bamboo sticks and started flicking me with water while saying a prayer (not sure if he's praying for me as I said I was Scottish or if its just a thing they do) so once I was more drenched he gave me these white bracelets to wear which will bring calmness and joy to my life....
