I had a great time with Angela and Paul last night, hung out with the kiddos and had a delicious lamb roast with great conversation! I ended up just sleeping there because it was a bit complicated to get home late at night and we had a few glasses of wine :) In the morning we had pancakes then went with the kids on a lovely walk through the trails by their house. It was gorgeous! It actually felt a bit like home ...

One of the things I like to do on trips is to find out what are the important stories locally. Much to my dismay I could have substituted Canadian or possibly American political names in the headlines without much difference.

For example the main headline was "Abbott (the Prime Minister) defying Dysfunction", followed on page 6 with "Abbott ...

The sun is shining! So off to the beach we went - this is a big advantage to having the car here and having a carpark that we can come and go from at will. A relatively smooth trip out to Bondi Beach, and we are starting to feel more confident driving in this city (made especially hard by the semi-closure of George St for light rail works).
