Jurassic World

A travel blog entry by sojanet on Jun 19, 2015

I went to see Jurassic World 3D with my parents. The movie tickets in this town are so cheap-- $12.75 for adults, $9 for seniors-- and that's for 3D!! There was live music across the street and overall a very good Friday night atmosphere in town! I thought the movie was very entertaining. The 3D aspect wasn't too astounding, like I never felt like the dinosaurs were right in front of me or coming towards me, but the creation of a theme park on screen was very exciting! Highly ...

Last day of tutoring!

A travel blog entry by sojanet on Jun 15, 2015

Today was my last day of tutoring Alice, a Korean middle schooler I've been tutoring for the past 2 months! We put together an independent study plan for the summer, and I wished her well for the coming academic year and her life in the US of A! I moved here pretty much the same age as her, so I wanted to motivate her as much as possible :) I showed her mom and her around my parents' backyard garden/farm and picked some ...

In the 5-6 years I've practiced yoga, I've never attempted a full headstand or handstand. These are advanced poses with injury risks, so instructors tend to only show you exercises to work up to these peak poses instead of leading a class full of varying capabilities to invert themselves. I watched some ...

Healthy day!

... I am happy for this opportunity, but at the same time feeling a little scared! I'll have to take care of some things before then, like letting the girl I tutor that I will be MIA! I like tutoring. The kid loves me. I want to give her lots of confidence! I remember what it's like to be in a new country at that age. In the evening, I went to a Body Pump class. The instructor David, a bald stout man, was really energetic and got me all set up with weights. ...
