Only 10 actual days of my "real" work left to do then i'm out of here! I can't actually belive i'm going it somehow does not seem real!
I think the nerves are setting in and the waves of happiness and fear come and Go!!!!!
I never though for a minute i would leave the comfort of a perfectly good job, home and my family and friends to travel on my own ...
... school, and then going to tour round afterwards. Not 100% sure yet but will definately be doing Kerela and then North India.

... Mark was a bit grumpy the next day. After a frenzy of locating and printing off flight and hotel accommodation confirmations, Mat tore up a bunch of paper, pretended it was all our travel flight and accommodation confirmations and then blamed it on Sammy the dog, Mark almost strangled the dog. Lucky for Sammy, the joke was revealed prior to strangulation.
Next stop - airport for flight to Barcelona!
... honked at a couple of times and hit one or two curbs but thats to be expected! Driving in England is awesome. It's not for me though, which has put a kink in our plans a bit. My foot is still swelling up each night and still painful to use I am wishing that Pan Am was just around the corner, and I am beginging to think that it should have been put in a cast, had it been cast I would not have been able to fly, soo I'm glad they didn't cast it but I just ...
Newbury, England, United Kingdom koltzoo... tails wagging as they were herded into the truck, out of my head. And then there are the two pigs who run to you when they see you coming, their curly tails waving in excitement at the thought that you may have some juicy morsel for them. They are like dogs in many ways, and at times I have seen them chasing each other around their enclosure, not a care in the world. Little do they know! The chickens here are free range and smug to boot, being kept only for ...
Braziers Park, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom peekayloon... home! The only thing I don't think I will be growing accustomed to is the COLD WEATHER! There were a couple of days this week where I really wasn't sure if I was going to make it or not. The cold here is so bitter and it seems like no matter how many layers of clothes you put on you're just not going to stay warm. Thankfully though it turned out to be a beautiful weekend so I was able to go do some fun things! This week was extremely busy but I got to do ...
Windsor, United Kingdom ms.whitingBen had a hockey game in Southampton on Saturday, so we all piled in the car to drive down for the day. The alarm going off at 7:30am came awful early for this chickadee, but I was at least semi-functioning anyway! In the morning we met up with a bunch of the gang for coffee at their friends' house, it was great to catch up with some of the people I hung out with over the winter, like Karen, Rachel and Jo. Bry and son Ben ...
Caversham, United Kingdom skye... very dark secrets she is keeping tightly tucked away. I wish I had more time. I feel like today has been incredible as far as getting closer to students and starting to understand their personal issues. It's unfortunate that the end of my time here is also getting closer. Thursday This morning started with tutor group, as usual and I thanked all my students for the time we spent together yesterday chatting and setting targets and getting to know each other a bit ...
Maidenhead, United Kingdom tmarooch... eaten half his paper and done absolutely no work. Not only that, but his hormones are so out of control that he can think of nothing else. I have to remind him constantly that it is inappropriate to describe in detail what he wants to do to the hot new teacher down the hall. Friday: is a rather challenging day in that I have a full load and lots of young, rambunctious classes. Thankfully I spend the majority of the day in one room, so at least I have a home base. My ...
