It was first used during an attack by Napoleon against the British fleet to relay strategy and orders from officers in London to the fleet commanders. The French couldn't figure out how the Brits were getting their orders back and forth so quickly on a surprise attack, and the French eventually lost.

... procedural and he is so right. Nothing is simple here. Opening up a normal account took over an hour, that was after making an appt. the day before. Let alone buying a car. To get to the shopping centre takes a while in the traffic and then even longer in the car park! I guess it works very well given the amount of people here. Hoping to buy this car today , about 15 to look at. If we don't find one, I guess it's back to the shopping centre for more ...

... director and the rest of the team. As the photo did not take as long as we thought it might there was still time to pay a quick visit to the Verey Gallery to view the small exhibition currently on show.

As I write this, the boys are completing their diaries before having some well earned free time before bed. Tomorrow we journey to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare and I suspect there may be some snoozing on the coach.

I had a great sleep last night so was feeling very happy and positive this morning!

Then the car hire company stuffed up our booking and picked us up nearly an hour late! (We could have walked to the depot quicker...) So I started feeling quite uneasy as I could tell Dean was very upset with the situation and I was worried about getting to Highclere late and missing out on tickets...

But it all ended up ...

Mary and I had enjoyed a great day and were reminiscing about the fun we had, the radio was bopping along and I and passed the white truck to be in a good position on the motorway, why oh why didn't we hear the the GSP telling us to exit left NOW! When I did finally hear him (the GPS) getting more and more excited, I had missed the turn off and had to continue another 15 kms before we could do a u-turn ...
