We went back to the hotel for a quick pit-stop; shower, change & rest. It was much needed. Then off to the Empire State Building for an evening viewing. We spent midnight (of my birthday) on the 87th Observation Deck. This wasn't planned that way however, it took us an hour & a half to get to that point! But I'll save that story for Tim to share tomorrow...
... Kat's deli. So we wondered down there and got ourselves 2 tickets when we walked through the door. Holy cow it was big and soo soo busy. We got to the counter and since heeding the restaurants advertisement of 'so big, we dare you to finish it' we ordered 1 pastrami on rye.

... activities for the day were the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island ferry & audio tour. We bought tickets to get up to the pedestal which is just the box Liberty stands on. It was amazing to see the expanse of the statue itself and go through the museum to find out how she was made, and the history behind her. Next stop was Ellis Island.
