... hours ahead of Philadelphia so I will be, literally, half way around the world! Hard to believe!

I am looking forward to meeting my fellow travelers – fourteen educators from around the country – when we all arrive in Beijing. Since people are coming from various airports and at different times, the first chance that we will get to meet as a whole group will be Thursday evening. There are four of us ...
Newark, New Jersey, United States mjp142... C'est la vie" never sounded truer until now.

Although this expression may seem a little pessimistic, I like to focus on my personal phrase, "the sweet is never as sweet without the sour."

Even though bad things do come and go, the fact that you experience them makes you appreciate what you already have.

Newark, New Jersey, United States erinkoval... bub" or "tic" from tic-tac-toe...good thing that college education expanded our vocabulary). After a short nap to finish out the flight, we landed in Newark and picked up our backpacks at the baggage claim. Yes, backpacks. Because of the short weekend trips we will be taking and the quick pace at which we want to move, we decided to find or borrow big backpacks that are the size of a large duffle bag. Now this of course means we should pack light ...
Newark, New Jersey, United States addicted2travel... Alanna, who had worked at a new job all day before even leaving for the airport, was a little worried at first when she couldn't find us anywhere!

It was a crazy scene, my trying to get all of our things repacked into fewer bags right out on the sidewalk! We only just barely made it in to get our tickets and luggage checked before they started boarding the plane. We thought we were ...
Newark, New Jersey, United States shree-durga... with the service we have received from them. Generally if we are delayed on Southwest they offer to buy you a drink. No such luck here. I can't wait till Southwest starts flying to Boston so we can make connection to international carriers. Anyway, after about 4 hours of sleep, Kelly and I both woke up back pain and general all over discomfort. But at least the majority of the flight was over. Next stop Brussels!

New Years Eve tomorrow! Lucky I've had all this queue training.. I'm planning to head down at about 11am and sus out what the deal is at Times Square. POST THOUGHT: I can gladly say there were more gay encounters for the rest of my trip.. It's been fun but I'm glad to be in Sweden surrounded my gorgeous women J jealous? Lol.. sorry just had to rub it in a little guys..
New York City, New York, United States jakeyboy1989... teaching us too and various other people being rude to me today so I was not pleased to find out on top of that that my phone bill is now at £53 since last Tuesday. Still with the day over, and no pathology yet seen, I fell asleep for a while which is always a good idea. Then I headed down to Bryant's park as they had the last night of the free film festival. They were showing the original superman movie and I watched in the park with a hotdog and a coke. It was good, if ...
New York City, New York, United States rtcolling... moved to the front of the line. To our dismay, the room we were in was only the room to purchase tickets. We were then herded through metal detectors into another room bigger than the last, only to have to line up in the line, to get in the line to wait for the lifts. So, over an hour later, we were in those aforementioned elevators, which took us up to another floor, where we had to wait (albeit ten minutes or so) to get in another lift to go to the viewing section of the Empire ...
New York City, New York, United States benleah... revert to hand signals. The bus would be cheaper but takes about 26 hours. Given that we don't want to be cramped into a bus for that long and we have to worry about food and wasting time on the bus we decide to go for the plane tickets. It turns out there is a flight that leaves a day after we plan and even though we pay for another days accommodation is still cheaper than the other flights. After searching on the net and booking our tickets we go to bed late. 12am bed.
New York City, New York, United States simon.kayess... get in line for that one last cup of coffee before they start the day at the office, or that one last bagel till lunch time. Me personally, I would be in search of Dunkin Donuts. It is great out here. Everyone is in a rush to do something or to be somewhere. Me on the other hand, just here to people watch and watch the crowd go by and wonder what he is up to and where she is going! So my brother lives out here, actually he is a Jersey boy, so he lives ...
