As noted before, our flight out of SF was delayed slightly, this had the side effect that our layover at Newark was shortened a bit. Sadly, by the time we de-planed it was just a bit too late to catch a train in that would give us two hours in Manhattan. Fortunately, the person we hoped to meet with offered to come out to the airport to meet us.
We grabbed lunch in the airport while they travelled ...
... Lounge. There were plenty of free snacks, sandwiches, and wine. Hung there until I got on the flight.
The biz class seats were not the full lay-down bed type. They just stretched out. Good enough for me. The flight was fast. They started with drinks; then some canopy thing; the meal; the dessert; and an hour later, the breakfast. Then boom; we're in Porto.
Way to go, ...
... to Lower Manhattan; rode the subway; went to Hooters; wandered the streets of New York; rode the subway; walked across the Brooklyn Bridge; walked back again; saw city hall; went to Chinatown; ate Chinese food; and rode the subway...and that's a list of all that I did, and saw, in New York...oh bugger, I said I wasn't going to do that!!!
