The band was from England and definitely added to the buzz of the bar and encouraged it even more.       In the morning we decided to travel to Cannes to try and track down a place to hire stand up paddle boards. It was a mammoth two and a half hour bus trip, but only 1.50 euro.       ... day so the girls were thrilled to be swimming in that lovely blue water again.

      Once home, Lionel discovered a box full of photos and we laughed while going through them and pointing out all the old faces of some friends from near and far and again explained to the girls of the fun the 3 of us spent together. The boys looked so young!

      without dents or scratches! Cars are always parked in with no space to
      get out! And they can park on corners and bends.. WHAT THE HELL!? Even
      saw a smart car parked perpendicular to the kerb today with its back
      wheels up on the gutter. Instant parking fine in newcadtle!!! Parking
      police would go bananas over here! We are now back at the hotel and relaxing!! It's almost 11pm. Packing almost done too! We have loved this city so much. Sad to leave, but so excited for Venezia!

      ... topped off by those eye catching red poppies. We have also seen pockets of wild corn about a metre high growing on the roadside. The natural countryside in all the areas we have seen is really scenic, and I am so glad to have seen it in spring and not when it is searing hot in summer and all dried off.

      We got a bus to Figueres and then a train to Barcelona main station where we transferred to an airport express train to catch our Easy Jet flight to Nice. The transfers ...
