Ahh, a nice early wakeup. That doesn't mean getting out of bed though. We all enjoy our air conditioned rooms till eleven thirty. Living on the islands means you live on Thai time. You certainly do not get ready with any sort of haste. Once both parties are finally ready we head down to our new favourite as of yesterday Planet Hollyfood. I tried the Massaman curry (German guy that owns the place recommended it.) it was quite excellent, although I ...

The beach itself is as you imagine, coconut laden palm trees, white sand, clear seas and warm water..... Slightly too warm if your hoping for a cool down.... Poor us...!

This routine we settled into quite well and ended up having five days of beach and pool time. To pass the hours we've been reflecting on ...

... took us on a 4 hour trek to the Short Neck Karen Hilltribe Village. The Long Necks are quite famous with all the rings around their necks but they simply live too far away so none of that unfortunately. After a great trek in which all trees, herbs and plants and their use were explained to us, we spent the evening and night with a super generous Hilltribe family, on the floor, bedtime 8pm. Our host turned out to be such a big fan of Liverpool that he had it not only tattooed ...
