Saturday was spent touring around our hotel. The world's largest dhow was built on site of the Radisson Blu Hotel. The Al Hashemi ll was built to seagoing specifications in the traditional style with traditional materials. And I made it like that by not bringing a thermal blanket and not wearing the correct socks. Because that's what it was like for those young vulnerable Spartan boys fending off wolves for a month during their initiation back Before Christ. They didnt have the right ...

I'm headed to Dubai, UAE (finally!) in a couple weeks, going back to Oman mid-January, and then traveling to Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia in February. Options for spring break are still being tossed around - South Africa is currently in the #1 spot... diving with great white sharks just sounds like it would be too good an opportunity to miss!

Stay tuned - the adventure ...
