I considered my options of where to travel next. I really wanted to see Lake Tekapo and Mt. Cook, but I was fast running out of time. With only two days left before the third and final instalment of my adventure, I had a tough choice to make. I opted for continuing south, towards Queenstown.

As much as I wanted to cut back north, it would have been half a days driving return, and that ...

Up early again, and on the first bus up to the mountains! (After an early breakfast back at Joe's Garage - addicted to the coffee!) what a stunning day, the sun was shining, blue skies, and the view at the top, wow!! I went and collected all my gear, ski clothes, boots, skis poles, helmet.. Just carrying all of this stuff was a challenge! I went outside to have a quick peek at the ski field before ...

It was humbling and I had a silly smile pasted on my face the entire time. The only time the smile went away was when I felt myself losing my balance (which was often) which made my face emit both surprise and ...

... we came across return flights to Thailand for $600 each! Awesome! and without any second thought we booked them. I figured what the heck if something came up $600 not the end of the world. I have a propensity to do everything extreme, so instead of booking for a few weeks we booked for 3 months! First proper holiday in more than 5 years, pretty excited!

The fares we booked did not include luggage so we are both going with carry on bags only. I reckon that we ...
