    Quieter once the day trippers have gone. And they showed QPR on the telly!

    ... we came across return flights to Thailand for $600 each! Awesome! and without any second thought we booked them. I figured what the heck if something came up $600 not the end of the world. I have a propensity to do everything extreme, so instead of booking for a few weeks we booked for 3 months! First proper holiday in more than 5 years, pretty excited!

    ... and raspberry picking, painting, cutting up plums and apples for stewing, mulching, sewing up the bird nets, I mean some of these might not sound great but compared to jobs they COULD have asked me to do I felt pretty fortunate. I guess my favorite was probably picking blueberries, although I really didn't mind weeding last week in Te Anau just because the spot was so darn beautiful. Tough call.     ... gondolas come into their own during ski season but in the summer months mountain bikes are attached to the sides of the carriage and lunatic bikers charge down the mountain at alarming speeds - I thought my luge ride was scary enough but I can’t imagine going all the way down the mountain and over those tracks!
