... walk to the temple where the hanamatsuri ended. The Kosenji temple is a Buddhist temple that celebrates the glory of Kusatsu Onsen. There were lots of small stands with activities for the children. Nice temple located on a hilltop overlooking the Yubatake en the town center. When walking back to the bus stop we pass a large stand where they sell knives, shears, pruning shears in all sizes. We buy a shear in the shape of ikebana clippers, the rounded handle ...

Miso, pickled vegetables, partly cooked egg, tofu, seared salmon were just some of the other items we had. After breakfast we headed off to the famous onsen here. There is nothing ...

... stopped at a supermarket and we're blown away at how cheap fruit/vegetables, meat and fresh sashimi fish is. No wonder the Japanese eat so well. The temple and shrines were beautiful but it was pretty cold walking around. Another train for about 40 minutes and we arrived at Shiga Kogen where we are staying at a beautiful ryokan with our own private onsen bath outside in the snow. Time for some rest and ...

Day 3 Today in Nozowa we woke up and got ready to leave for a beautiful day of snowboarding, but around about lunch the weather changed and it started to snow heavier. We were planning to go and do a few more runs but then I had a massive stack and it hurt, I landed right on my coccyx bone and I was struggling to even sit down. So Talia and I went on back to the hotel and Mum and Dad did one more run. When everyone was at home we all went to an outdoor ...
