Nun schien immer noch die Sonne, unsere Füße waren endlich aufgetaut und wir wollten doch das schöne Wetter noch etwas genießen. Also sind wir natürlich Eis essen gegangen. Ist doch selbstverständlich, bei den Temperaturen! First Stop
... by artist Elena Ballarini caught our eye. These are so masterful that they look like photographs! The artist’s father is the owner of the gallery and he spent time with us talking about his daughter and her art. Quite fascinating—check it out: www.wildlifeart.it. He was even kind enough to suggest a place for dinner and called in a reservation for us. What a lovely gesture and so welcoming.

...But Where'd the Turkey Go??
... Looking at the menu, Dorian and I were wondering, "what the heck is 'topinambour'?" I looked up the word on my iphone and it turns out that it is known as a "Jerusalem artichoke." Our soup was made of that and toasted pine kernels and, oh my gosh, it was absolutely divine. Like seriously, it was the best soup that I have had in my entire life. I tried to sip it slowly, to savor it, but that was so hard to do when the taste was so incredibly perfect.
